Hello. I am a 49 year old white female that has recently begun going through menopause as confirmed with FSH lab. I went to my PCP on 12/27/17 due to the hot flashes and increased anxiety possibly due to menopause. I have been taking Wellbutrin 300 mg daily for the last 2 years. My Dr added Paxil 10 mg daily on the 27th. I took the Paxil every day as ordered without missing any doses. On January 14th, both of my feet began to tingle and become somewhat numb. The best way I can describe it is that my feet feel very cold like I m walking in snow without shoes on. My feet feel cold all of the time but they are not cold to the touch. I keep my feet on a heating pad most of the time, even when I sleep to help decrease the cold feeling. I stopped taking the Paxil on 01/15/18. Looking at literature on Paxil, this is listed as a serious side effect. I am scheduled to have nerve conduction tests in the next week as the numbness and tingling have not improved. Have you ever heard of this and if so, is this reversible? I have been a Registered Nurse for 27 years and I am in very good health. I have no other major medical conditions and this is extremely concerning to me. Thank you for your help.
