Suggest Treatment For Numbness In The Index Finger

I shut my index finger in a very big wooden door. It didn t bleed or anything but went very numb. It crushed the middle of my finger at the knuckle. It has now been over a month and half of the top half of the finger is still numb. Is there a bigger problem since it s been awhile and it s still kind of numb.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Taking count that it is still numb I think you have possibly caused nerve damage. Most probably it is permanent because the swelling has just gone away.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka , General & Family Physician
