Suggest Treatment For Numbness In The Shin

I have noticed that for the last 2 weeks or so I have numbness in my left shin. It doesn hurt and I'm only aware of it when I touch my leg for some reason or another (like drying off with a towel, clothes brush against it etc.) The numbness is from my knee to my ankle, only in the front part of the left leg. Any idea what it could be? Thx.
