Suggest Treatment For Ovarian Cyst

I have an ovarian cyst. When the doctor gave me the ultra sound results he explained to me that it appeared to be leaking and to come back in 3 months. I was in a great deal of pain for 2 months. Well it will be 3 months and I will be going back, the pain is barely there now but I still havea swollen area around where the cyst is. Is this normal?
