Hi there,

Intrauterine device ( copper containing) once removed can make you vulnerable to get pregnant.

If you have not got your period it would be best to get a blood HCG level done to rule out pregnancy.

Also you need to consider an alternate form of contraception like Inj. DEPO or oral contraceptive pill. Which method is most suited, would depend on your personal choice, your age, and if at all you have any high risk factors or not.

If the HCG comes out to be non pregnant levels, take progesterone tablets for 5 days and stop, to get your period and once you get your period consider the new contraception you are planning to take.

Hope this helps.
Regards.
