the problem is my eye. i was watching tv. all of a sudden i felt like something got in my eye. i rubbed it, it became worse to the point my eye didn t want to open or close. it was painful. i looked in a mirror.couldn t see anything. i put some vasine in my eye. no help. looked in the mirror again. i see what looks like a blister in the inside corner. it can t why, how would i have a blister on my eye. i figure it must be from me rubbing it. so i try to ignore it for a bit. no it hurts. i go look again. the blister is covering all the lower part of my eye and still hurting.
Pain and blister in the eye is commonly due to infection, allergy (dust, pollen, smoke, etc.), chemosis, eye herpes, etc. Pain and blister in the eye can be reduced by applying antibacterial eye drops, like Ciplox eye drops or I-tone eye drop, 2-3 drops twice daily for 5-7 days after clinical examination in the ER or by an Eye specialist.
In case it is diagnosed as eye herpes you may require antiviral eye drops. To reduce eye irritation and inflammation, cold compression and rest are recommended. You can take acetaminophen, one stat when needed.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
