Suggest Treatment For Pain And Bruise On Shin

I fell hard about 3 months ago. Was running through my kitchen to catch my son from falling and I fell off a step into my dining room. The crease of the step landed on my shin. Bruised immediately. It turned the normal colors, purple, blue then yellow. It has not gone away. It is red and brown now and large on my leg. Also, I tend to bruise fairly easily. Often times I bruise for no reason. Also am very fatigued. Is something I need to get checked out or let the bruise heal on it's own?
