Suggest Treatment For Pain And Burning Sensation In Feet

My PCF called me to come into the office - recent blood work showed my blood sugar was elevated at 113. I am concerned because the last few days I have been having moderate pain and burning on the bottom of my feet as well as what appears to be some type of nodules (one bruised) on the inside of my left foot. I was thinking it was my shoes. Do I have reason to be concerned?

Hello,

The burning in the bottom of the feet can be related to peripheral neuropathy. One of the common causes of peripheral neuropathy is diabetes. I suggest using anti-inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms. I also suggest to consult an endocrinologist to treat high blood sugar.
