Suggest Treatment For Pain And Burning Sensation In The Knee After Injury

while playing golf I felt a pop on the inside back of my right knee. There has been continuous pain and a deep tissue bruise. After I also have felt general knee pain and a sense of burning all on the interior side of the knee. Please advise. Larry James

Hi Larry,
Your symptoms seem to suggest some injury to soft tissue in your right knee like ligament sprain or rupture.It could be cruciate ligament injury.
I would suggest you take consultation with your Orthopedician. If you have severe pain you may take pain killers like Brufen, Ultracet for time being. you need to keep your knee from excessive or forcefull movements and you may apply crepe bandage, ice packs. Your doctor might suggest an MRI after physical examination if he doubts any rupture.
