Suggest Treatment For Pain And Burning Sensation In The Throat

Hi, I am having an uneasiness in my throat since couple of weeks. I don t have any other symptoms like fever, running nose or cough for that matter. But, I feel like my throat is burning once in a while I smoke. Early in the morning after I get up, it is more intense not kind of unbearable but it is bit worse. I usually smoke 3 cigarettes a day. Do you think I am having a throat cancer or am I just being too paranoid. My diet these days is also very bad. No breakfast, having lunch at 11.30 and the dinner at 10.30

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain and burning sensation in the throat The symptoms you mention in query are pointing towards a condition known as gastroesophageal reflux disaese. There can be many reasons for this like sinusitius, nutritional deficiency , allergy and burning mouth syndrome as well. It seems to me that in your case the probable reason is acid reflux , which is responsible for throat pain. I would suggest you to consult oral pathologist/ ENT specialist for proper diagnosis . Doctor may order blood test , oral biopsy , saliva measurement and allergy test to confirm the diagnosis. For now avoid carbonated drinks , spicy food , alcohol and acidic foods. Take combination of antibiotic along with anti-inflammatory drugs.
