Suggest Treatment For Pain And Headache After Head Injury

Hello. 21 yo female. About 8 hours ago I was hit in the head with a softball. It hit right above my forehead on my hair line. I bumped the ball with my glove before it hit, but it still hit pretty hard. I did not lose consciousness and continued to play. My only symptoms are pain when I touch where it hit, and a headache. No swelling or other neurological symptoms. Should I be concerned?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hi there... I would like to know if you feel dizzy or nauseated?? you can apply ice packs on the area if it is swollen. that will help reduce the swelling. and you can take a paracetamol 650mg tablet for pain if you are not allergic to it. n please keep a watch on warning signs of head injury e.g, severe headache, vomiting, fits, altered mental status... n try to get some rest... get well soon... :)
