If severe degree hypertension present then it can lead to nephosclerosis like glomerulopathy.Urine examination may reveal proteinuria.Edema over body may present.So hypertension if present needvto be corrected. You might have chronic kidney infection like pyelonephritis or glomerulonephritis.Urine examination serves useful.If still needed biopsy can be taken. Blood culture report can be done with CBC examination also.If bacteremia present treated accordingly.
