Suggest Treatment For Pain And Itching On The Left Arm

2 weeks ago,i have suffered from phlebitis,the doctor prescribed me an antibiotic which is cefuroxime 500mg tablet 3 times a day for 1 week, along with celecoxib 200mg capsule twice a day for 1 week..then after a week,i feel better so i stop taking the madicines,.after another week,i felt pain and itchiness of my veins of my left arm and the vein bulge..what medicine could be suited for it?what could be the diagnosis for it?what managements could i do? gemzkie28

Respected Gemzkie , hi it`s halfly treated thrombophlebitis dear. In our clinic we advise* ice application for 3-4 times a day * keep the area clean with antiseptic solution or liquid * avoid excess weight lifting or computer work with affected arm * cephalosporin group of antibiotic with anti-inflammatory agents to get faster healing and recovery * local application of ointments like Thrombophobe ointment 3-4 times a day * regular follow up of the patient in clinic.
