Suggest Treatment For Pain And Loss Of Hearing

My husband has 7 bulging disks after a semi accident and last week the back of his neck popped causing popping and pain to his right ear. I took him to Urgant Care and the ear was flushed but the pain and loss of hearing exsists. Is there any other treatment or what is the next step?

Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

Regarding your query for pain in ear with loss of hearing to your husband after an accident. To treat the hearing loss and pain it is important that one should know the real pathology in ear and hearing system and for this you have to do-

1- C.T.scan of ear (HRCT).

2- Pure tone audiometry.

3- Impedance audiometry.

Beside this a thorough clinical examination of ear is must and after that one may co-relate the clinical findings with inferences of above investigations to make a diagnosis than after treatment may be planed accordingly.

Regards.
