Suggest Treatment For Pain And Presence Of Blood In Urine

I was diagnosed with 2 4 mm kidney stones. I have pain and blood in the urine. The pain is located very low in abdomen and I had plenty of water with lemon juice. I think the stone is stuck in the urethra and not able to pass it. Took lisinipril and Vicodin but it is not helping.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Rush to ER for urgent Ultrasonography and X-rays to see for the level of stone.
They may try to put in a urethral catheter and may dislodge it into the bladder to relieve your symptoms in emergency.
Then you need definitive management as per the Urologist after investigations.
Antibiotic active against urinary tract infection.
Send the blood and urine samples for tests. A urine culture may be necessary.
Take plenty of oral fluids.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant, ENT & General Surgeon
