Suggest Treatment For Pain And Pressure In Head, confusion And Fatigue
28 year old male. Started with a constant headache ache. Was then prescribed leaviquin and prednisone for a sinus infection while taking that a cavity was filled, no discomfort. After several days headache and head pressure became worse along with a stiff neck and foggy mind/confusion. Major fatigue, making it hard to do anything. We saw another doctor who advised that it was a tension headache. Have now been taking muscle relaxers. Head confusion and fatigue have increased. Head pressure/headache come and go. Some days are worse then others. Can t work out or do anything without the feeling of passing out. i can t work or do much and am starting to become depressed. It has been 4 weeks. What would you suggest to do next?
Judging from your description I would also say that the most likely cause is tension headaches.
However, due to the persistence of the symptoms, I would advise brain imaging with CT scan or MRI.
If it comes back normal then I would continue treatment with over the counter Ibuprofen for the pain and if not improving preventive medication with Amitriptyline may be considered.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
