Suggest Treatment For Pain And Puss Discharge From Infected Ear Piercing Site

Okay, so my ears we're peirced maybe ten years ago. About three years ago I decided to let them close. Today my left ear began to hurt, when looking at it in the mirror I realized it was red and pus was coming out, sort of like a white head. Is this normal?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that there has been infection at the site of piercing and as you do not wear earring it can be due to debris accumulation in the area of piercing hole and there can be bacterial overgrowth causing infection and pus formation and white head is nothing else but pus..
Nothing to worry, you can clean the area with a antiseptic solution and apply a triple antibiotic ointment over it..
Do it atleast twice a day..
You can also take a 3 days course of antibiotics for faster resolution of infection..
You can also do cool compresses over the red and inflamed area..
Try to drain the pus as much as possible as it will initiate faster healing..
If there is pain tylenol or Ibuprofen can be taken..
