Suggest Treatment For Pain And Soreness In The Vagina After Intercourse

I had very vigorous sex with my bf last night, and during which i got really sick and threw up. My bf was being quite rough and I think that might be the reason behind this, because I have never thrown up before like this. Today, I have a lot of pain and soreness in my vagina. Is it serious ? What would you advice ?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Pain and soreness are due to the microtrauma associated with friction. It is resolved in a few days. Keep the area clean and dry and avoid engaging in intercourse until the soreness subsides.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Lekshmi Rita Venugopal, General & Family Physician
