Suggest Treatment For Pain And Swelling At Incision Site
I just had right inguinal hernia repairs done to me six days ago and notice some swellings and tenderness on the area of the surgery with mild pain but my penis is kind of strong and descending down to my scrotum instead of coming up and erect. Is it ok because I am a bit worried about my sexual strength and performance in the future in the future. Thanks.
Swelling and tenderness over the surgical area are common during the postoperative period and it will reduce step by step automatically, So don`t worry much.
A penile erection will be reduced initially and you will regain it within a week or two.
And totally swelling and pain depends on the site of surgery and type of incision, So if you continue experiencing same after three weeks then I advise you to consult your surgeon for further treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Indhu Priyadharshini, General & Family Physicia
