Suggest Treatment For Pain And Swelling In Foot Along With Difficulty Walking

My husband had trauma to his leg 1 week ago when he dropped metal on inner shin muscle causing deep tissue damage/bruising with some abrasions. In the past 24 hours he has been experiencing pain and swelling in his foot on the same leg where there was not any damage and is having trouble walking. I am concerned he has a blood clot. If he takes aspirin and elevates his foot and leg, and possibly use heat, is he at risk or can he wait to go to the hospital in the morning?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern for your husband, thinking about blood clot is not that much important because it is not likely but thinking about the fracture is more important instead, and in my opinion his leg needs x-ray, take care of him, bye.
I find this answer helpful
