Suggest Treatment For Pain And Swelling In The Ankles
I have been having swelling in my ankles for the past 6-9 months i have seen a cardiologist, rheumatologist, vascular and neurologist all my test came back with good results, labs, xrays, NCS, I am not having swelling on the top of my left foot with soreness i dont know what to do. can you please suggest something. i tend to have pain in my upper thigh under neath my butt when i still for a long period of time not sure if that is the cause or whats going on . I really need some answers.
To be honest, a few times we are not able to exactly know what causes swelling in the feet. The main thing is to rule out serious causes. This is great that your systems are fine and no serious cause has been found. About 15 to 30 per cent cases are not exactly known as for why they occur. Maybe related to posture, jobs, etc.
You should feel relaxed as it's not serious. You may be helped by keeping the leg elevated, avoid too much standing, keep a pillow below the leg in the night, and avoid tight shoes.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman, General & Family Physician
