Suggest Treatment For Pain And Swelling In The Chest Area

Hi my husband has a lung condition, and recently has developed swelling in his right chest. It is quite painful and doctors have not found anything in X-rays or blood tests. Doctor prescribed Prednisone 60mg which husband is on third day but pain and swelling is still the same. Please advise what this could be and what to do?

Hello,

It could be an inflammatory pain like costochondritis. Steroids are the main line of treatment. You can also take analgesics like Paracetamol or Ibuprofen for pain also.
