Suggest Treatment For Pain And Swelling In The Right Foot

I am taking hydrocortisone for Adrenal Insufficiency and having swelling in my right foot and ankle that wont resolve. Additionally, I have low IGGs, heart condition ,antiphospholipid syndrome and asthma. Lately I have also been having issues with shortness of breath although I am on Breo. Can the steroid be causing the swelling and shortness of breath?

Hi,

Yes steroid can cause the swelling but not really the shortness of the breath. Swelling is a common side effect of steroids .
You need to discuss with the physician who prescribed you the same as we have a number of steroid sparing options available.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshita, Ophthalmologist
