Suggest Treatment For Pain And Swelling On Ankles

My two year old fell this morning. I didnt witness the fall, but since she won t put weight on her right foot. The pain seems to be centered to the ankle and slightly into the leg. She can move her foot and toes with discomfort, but only cries when she tries to stand. There is no swelling or bruising, and is not warm to the touch. Should i wait through the night and see how it looks in the morning?

Hello,

It may be due to fracture of foot.

So for further assessment you may require x ray foot after orthopedic surgeon consultation.

Further treatment mainly depends upon the underlying condition.

You may require detailed evaluation to rule out fracture or sprain.

Restrict your movements.

Use support while walking.

For pain you can take tablet acetaminophen

Hope I have answered your query...
Let me know if I can assist you further.
