Suggest Treatment For Pain And Swelling On Foot After Injury

I dropped an 80 pound furniture dolly on my foot 3 weeks ago. I had it xrayed twice once about 12 hours after it happened at the emergency and again the next afternoon. In urgent care. Both doctors say my foot was fine.My foot is still swollen now and I experience some pain but am able to walk on it etc. Should I be concerned about he swelling?

Hi,

Thanks for your question.

After going through your question, I can understand your concern.

As X-ray done twice showed no evidence of fracture.
There is most likely a soft tissue swelling over your foot.
If there is no external would apply crepe (pressure) bandage, avoid weight bearing over foot, keep it elevated while lying down, apply ice for cold fomentation.

Use pain killer with anti-inflammatory like aceclofenac with serratopeptidase with antacids.

Despite this if there is no relief then better to consult orthopedician for further evaluation.

Hope this helps you, if so do vote as helpful.
