Hi.

Given the age of your Mom the medicines she has been taking may be continued but please, still refrain from excessive use of pain killers and anti inflammatory drugs.

Still I would suggest you to try pure and safe herbals which may be used by making decoction at home daily morning and evening. The pain and swelling of and around ankles and bottom of foot would go and digestion would improve. Such small things actually are caused by Mandagni as per Ayurveda where digestive enzymes are not able to act properly and mucous forms inside gut. On accumulating it causes swelling of joints, gout, rheumatism etc. In allopathy only pain killing is the temporary remedy. That too with side effects.

I would suggest five dry herbs Peepal, peeplamool, chavya, chitrak and sonth ( dry ginger) equal parts crushed coarsely and boiled in 16 times water by volume. When 1/4 remains drink warm after filtering. May add holy basil leaves too. These five herbs are also called Panchkol collectively and powder form is available readymade but we prefer coarse herb. Powder may also be boiled.

We don't know your location otherwise could guide where to get it.

See difference in two weeks. No side effects. May be taken with your mom's current medicine.

May also rub Rumalya liniment gently around ankle. This is from Himalaya herbals.

Hope it serves your purpose. Be tension less.

Pl give pain killer only when very necessary.

May I help you more please.
