Hello,
Welcome to Health Care Magic.
Thanks for writing.
I am Dr.Saddiq-ul-Abidin. I have read your question completely, i understand your concern and will try to help you in best way possible.
I am sorry to know about what happened , I will give you a series of suggestions which will hopefully help you with the problems you have.
In you case the first thing which one has to do is to get any
fracture ruled out. If you went to a ER afterwards and ruled out
fractures then remaining are
soft tissue injuries which heal up sooner or the later.
If you can make a fist of your hand easily then it's less likely to be a fracture there. There are certain things which can aid in your healing.
1) You can take
Brufen tablet twice a day this will give relief to pain as well as will help to decrease the inflammation.
2) Wrap a crepe bandage around the hand.
3) Give it rest.
4) Keep it elevated don't hand it, hanging it will pool blood and fluid in the hand.
5) Warm compresses or keeping hand in warm water will loosen up the tissues this lets tissues heal quick and swelling goes away sooner.
It may take a couple of weeks to a month for even soft tissue injuries to heal up so i will suggest you not to panic and just take care of your hand with proper use of medicine for better control of the problem.
I hope this answered your question. If you have more queries I am happy to answer.Otherwise rate and close the discussion
Regrads.
