General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted your history of pain in knees, swelling, pain and stiffness in fingers and elbows, worsened after being sick with pneumonia.
This indicates that the infection caused by pneumonia might have caused some immune complexes that lodge into the joints and thus cause polyarthralgia as you have mentioned.
Also needed is to get the blood tests for Uric acid, gout, calcium, parathormone and so on.
Consult an Orthopedic Surgeon to have proper clinical evaluation, examination and correlation with the reports.
MRI of any one joint that is most affected should be done to have an idea of what is going on in the joints.
The treatment will be symptomatic for the swelling and pains and specific as per the cause found on investigations.
Till then take rest.
Continue the medicines as prescribed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
