Suggest Treatment For Pain And Vaginal Bleeding During Intercourse
hi there I did have vaginal hysterectomy on dec 15 2014 took uterus and cervix out every thing went well all the weeks. thing is I had sex today it was painful and notice little bit light blood on underwear. later in evening had bowel movement there is bright red on paper then hour later no blood on paper again used q tip inside vagina cover blood. What should I do?
When the uterus and cervix are taken out, there is an incision in the vagina also. It is at the top of the vagina. This incision sometimes gets infected or undergoes granulation. In such cases, disturbance to the incision can cause bleeding. The infection can cause pain also.
Please report to your Gynaecologist and get vaginally examined from him/her to endorse my diagnosis and/or detect any other pathology present.
The granulation of the incision at vaginal vault can be easily and successfully treated by cauterization which is a minor procedure. After cauterization, you will get dirty brownish grey vaginal discharge. Nothing to worry about; it is the burnt out tissue getting washed of.
I hope you are satisfied with the explanation.
