Suggest Treatment For Pain Between The Breasts That Extends To The RUQ

I have primary Lymphedema, venous insufficiency and pelvic congestion. I also have acid reflux but it controlled by meds. My problem is! I ve had pain between my breasts above my stomach that can go over to the right quadrant area for over a year now. It s off and on but it fills like I m being squeezed or strangled inside. Tests for gallbladder were fine but showed a fatty liver. All the blood work fine at normal levels. Some days wearing a bra hurts like it s cutting off circulation. I also have been swelling of and on in that area. What could this be? My primary thinks now it may be vascular related because of my other issues.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted your past history of lymphedema, venous insufficiency, pelvic congestion, acid reflux under treatment and now developed pain between breasts that sometimes goes to RUQ, wearing bra hurts and feels like circulation is stopped also have recurring swelling in that area.
Such a history is most suggestive of a condition called costochondritis.
Watch for the local tenderness, relation to stress or viral infection.
Do not use anything that is tight.
Take an anti-inflammatory when there is pain, talk to your Doctor about this probable diagnosis and get investigations and treated accordingly.
Acid reflux or GERD also can mimic, get an upper GI Endoscopy doen to see for any esophageal changes that can mimic the symptoms.
Sometimes problems in thoracic spine can have similar symptoms.
Take proper anti-reflux medicines.
Continue the treatment for your old problems of lymphedema, venous insufficiency and pelvic congestion.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
