Hi,

Noted the history about a pointed pain just below the posterior part of neck in between the spinal projections, Crohn's disease and taking Entocort.
Well, the pointed pain at the place between the 2 spinal projections can be due to one of the following reasons:
Inter-spinous muscle or tendon inflammation.
Inflammation of the bone itself, may be secondary to some condition of the spine itself.
infection or abscess formation.
This can be well diagnosed by the following ways:
Consult your Doctor for an actual physical examination.
Get the blood tests to see for raised ESR, white cell counts, rule out diabetes and as asked for.
MRI of the affected area is the best way to have detailed information to get an appropriate diagnosis so that a proper management as per the cause found.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
