Suggest Treatment For Pain In Armpit And Breasts

Hi there! I m a 33 year old woman with a strong history of breast cancer. I ve recently started having burning/stabbing nipple pain (I haven t nursed in 10 years. No recent trauma) that radiates to my swollen armpit. I m hoping to get an appointment at MDAnderson this week but am hoping someone can help ease my mind beforehand. Thanks!

Hi

The pain can be due to various causes including cancer, but there are numerous other symptoms for cancer like nipple discharge, orange like presentation, dimples in the breast, inverted nipple, etc.

I would thus recommend a check on your hormone levels, a physical examination and a mammogram to check on your situation.
