Suggest Treatment For Pain In Big Toe

For the last week now I have been experiencing very sharp pain (bee like sting) in my big right toe only. It only lasts for about 10-20 seconds and goes away with no other pain anywhere. I am confused and don't have a clue what it might be. Not sure if I should go get it checked out. I've been looking on the internet and found someothers with the same symptoms but no one has any answers.
