Hi,

It is possible that you have a sprain or strain in your finger, and the greenish spot could be a bruise or hematoma. It is best to have it checked by a doctor to rule out any serious injury such as a fracture or dislocation.

In the meantime, you can try the RICE (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation) method to help reduce pain and swelling:
- Rest: Avoid using the injured finger as much as possible, and immobilize it with a splint or buddy tape.
- Ice: Apply ice packs for about 20 mins at a time to the injured place multiple times a day.
- Compression: Wrap the injured finger with an elastic bandage to help reduce swelling.
- Elevation: Elevate the injured hand above the level of your heart as much as possible to help reduce swelling.

You can also take over-the-counter pain relievers such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen to help manage the pain. If the pain and swelling do not improve after a few days, or if you experience any numbness or tingling in your finger, make sure to see a doctor for further evaluation and treatment.

Hello,

You can move it but can see a greenish spot trailing your finger. It hurts on applying pressure. Keep your finger at rest. You can apply ointment Thrombophob on the area affected, it will help to disperse blood clots below the skin of the palm.

However, get clinically examined by a GP, get X-ray done to rule out any hair crack fracture or fracture. Your finger may need a crepe bandage done as rest is required. You can take naproxen or acetaminophen, one stat when needed.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
