Suggest Treatment For Pain In Foot And Ankle While Walking

i fell down a few stairs almost three weeks ago - there was no obvious pain immediately, but my right ankle swelled up, but I could walk on it with only a little discomfort. However, if I walk any distance now I have pain walking in my foot and ankle and it radiates up the left side of my right leg ! It takes me an hour to do a walk that normally only took 30 minutes - and the pain persists for quite some time after I sit or lie down to rest. Do I need to go to my practitioner or bypass her and just turn up at the accident department ?
