Suggest Treatment For Pain In Hand And Shoulders

I have had trouble with pain in my hand up my shoulder, starts out as a ache in the thumb lasts at least 3 days, sometimes my hand will get better , then in a day or so it s my wrist, today it s up to my elbow, it feels like it s in the mussel . It gets to the point I can t move my arm without pain, I ve been to ER with it , and after the x-rays show nothing they give me a shot to ease the pain send me home , and the pain will leave after a couple of days.It happens on both arms. This would happen around 2 times a year in the past, but this year I ve been in ER twice , and have been suffering throught the small pain

The symptoms you present are vague and to come out with the exact diagnosis will need keen examination and investigations.Possible causes could be cervical radiculopathy or just osteoarthritis.The neck is a region with many nerves.when one is touched or compressed, the effect is felt in all parts of the body to which the nerve leads.This could explain pain in shoulder, arms, elbow, wrist and thump.A MRI test of your neck region may reveal something.You may this discuss with your Doctor.No matter the cause, treatment options will include pain medications like ibuprofen, myorelaxants like miorel, oral or injectable steroids occasionally, physiotherapy/massage with pain creams.
I will suggest you see your Doctor again and share this with him.
