hey i am experiencing pain on my hip and leg joint(right butt) , for about 1 and a half year now, recently about 3 months ago i went to a doctor, went through meds, one steroid, and mri. The mri report suggestive of a small enchondroma(128mmx110mm) at proximal shaft of right femur . After that i went through 2 weeks of physiotherapy (ultrasound therapy) , but pain is still the same, not even a bit less. what should i do.?
hi, sorry for pain, well treatment against pain have progressive levels, which must adjust to every case, in some people it's enough with NSAID and with other it's necessary to use stronger drugs or another measure, or combinated treatment, your physician has to know what drug are you taking and which is effective, first step are the nsaid's which have drugs like paracetamol , ibuprofen , dexketoprofen , diclofenac , ketorolac, that you can take like single dose or combinated. When pain don't relieve you have to ask to your physician for a better drugs in some cases are the opioids that in a medium scale tramadol, codeine , buprenorphine, hydrocodone are used, but when a stronger effect is needed fentanyl, methadone, morphine are optimun opioids, opioids especially stronger ones must be prescribed for specialized staff because it is necessary a close monitoring to avoid serious adverse effects, i hope to be helpful.
