Suggest Treatment For Pain In Knuckles

I have been diagnosed with cellulitis in a finger after being pricked by a thorn. I've been on Keflex for 3 days and swelling is going down, but pain over knuckle joint persists. Can the pain be from the infection? I'm concerned that a thorn may be inside my finger.
