Suggest Treatment For Pain In Lower Back After Nephrectomy

Thank you. Two years ago I had an open, partial nephrectomy for cancer, a spot near the renal vein on the right kidney. Recently I have been having intermittent pain in the lower back, right side, and coming part way around the waist. Position does not seem to bring it on, however, adjusting posture does not alleviate it. I do not think I have had fevers, although I have had chills. No blood visible in urine, although I have had occult blood in urine in the past, cystoscopy showed no abnormalities in the bladder. This flank pain is completely new; never had any symptoms of the cancer which was found incidentally during a CAT scan for a different problem!

Hello,

For pain, primarily you can try a simple composition such as paracetamol if not already. Also check with your oncologist for recurrence or metastasis of cancer.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
