Suggest Treatment For Pain In Lungs While Coughing

I had tuberulosis in 2000 I took the whole treatment for a year after which the doc tor gave me a clean chit,
for the last week it has been phenomenaly cold here & I have a bad viral attack..I still have a cough & my old lung scar hurts when I cough.
I have an asthamatic condition as well.
Do I need to get retested for TB

I can understand your concern.
In my opinion, you are mostly having worsening of asthma due to viral infection and previous tuberculosis.
Viral infection in asthmatic patients cause exacerbation.
And this exacerbation may cause pain in TB scar.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done
1. Clinical examination of respiratory system
2. Chest x ray
3. PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
Chest x ray is needed to rule active tb lesion.
PFT is needed to know the severity of exacerbation. Based on PFT values, treatment is given. You may need inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS).
So possibility of recurrence of tb is very low but better to get done chest x ray to rule out this.
