i have fibromyalgia an intense case 3 weeks ago I started having pain in my neck that rotates all the way around and my collar bone. By the time 7 pm comes around I can t hold my head up I m in do much pain, I went to my doctor today she stated she thought it was the fibromyalgia and added a anti depressant to my pain meds which I don t want to actually take. General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your problem can be due to repetitive stress injury to trapezius muscle. Taking NSAIDS like Ibuprofen (Motrin), applying gels containing Diclofenac or Ketoprofen and methylsalicylate, and hot fomentation will be helpful. Avoid high pillows also.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nishad B. N., General & Family Physician
