I fell down the last four steps at home (carpeted) and dislocated my left thumb, however, today, three days since fall my right hip hurts badly (crying at times) in the back on right but feel nothing of broken bones.. One doc said my muscles got twisted. What do you think?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You fell down and got injured in the hip, right side and also left thumb. Now you are experiencing pain and discomfort. You are suggested to take Naproxen or Combiflam, one stat when needed to ease pain. You are suggested to get clinically examined by an orthopedics. Get X-ray, CT/MRI done to detect any dislocation, fracture, tendon or ligament tear, etc. You will be treated accordingly. You will be treated by heat therapy, crepe bandage, conservative treatment but if needed your treating doctor may recommend surgery.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
