Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Back After An Insect Bite
I got stung on my shoulder blade on my back by a mud dobber. I have taken benydryl and motrin and put ice on it. It still is a bit red and has a real red circle in the middle of it. The pain is unbearable from the bite site to my spinal cord and up into my neck andy entire shoulder, nothing I am doin is helpin it . Is there something I can do to help it or should I go get it looked at
Such types of bite cause allergic reaction. Allergies occur when your immune system reacts to a foreign body. Foreign body may medicine like pollen, animal dander, dust and poison ivy etc. The severity of allergies varies from person to person and can range from minor rash to anaphylaxis. Advice 1. Continue cold compression 2. Levocetirizine 5 mg – 1 tablet once daily for 5 days 3. Dexamethasone (Dexona) 0.5 mg – 1 tablet twice daily for 5 days 4. Ibuprofen 600 mg per oral after meal if pain occurs 5. Do not scratch too much as it will caused skin damage and infection 6. Apply calamine lotion – three times daily locally Thanks
