Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Buttocks

I have a lump on the buttocks that grew pretty quickly in a few days, and now its real painful, hard to sit or stand without any pain. I thought it was a boil but it doesn t seem to be pussing up or popping anytime soon. I did a have a few times where I was freezing or really warm but that seems to have stopped. Do I need to see a dermatologist for this of someone else?

Hi welcome to the health care magic

According to history I think it can be superficial bacterial skin infection...

It might be abscess or boil like condition

If you post photo then more comment can be given

If on examination it seems abscess and large enough then incision and drainage done with local dressing

Oral antibiotic course also will be prescribed

Take care

Consult general surgeon for examination and discuss your case...

Hope this will help you
