Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Calves And Numbness In The Feet

My calves hurt when I walk and my feet get numb. This usually occurs after about 15 minutes of walking. The pain eases with a five minute rest. My doctor wants me to walk for 15 minutes a day but the pain is not worth it! Is there anything I can do to relieve the pain?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Consult a neurologist and get evaluated.

We have to rule out possible causes like neuropathy and peripheral vascular diseases.

Detailed evaluation is required including a vascular Doppler.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
