Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Hand After Injury
Ive had a broken metacarpal for close to a month now and I ran out of pain medicine but I m still having severe pain and it s very very sore still no matter where I put it. How do I ask my doc for more medicine without him thinking I am a druggie or something? I ve been taking max strength Tylenol but I m still having pain and I m afraid to ask him straight out for more even though I definitely need it.
You have absolute right of autonomy in best benefit of your recovery to discuss the amount of pain with your consultant without getting afraid of his reaction or else matter. If you discuss the issue in details with your consultant, then he or she can decide to add further molecule as ibuprofen, diclofenac, tramadol hydrochloride or else with paracetamol for better results.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
