Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Heel

yes. I have been having pain in the right rear of my foot at the heel. I is sensitive to touch pain in one spot. I have trouble walking especially down stairs and especially in the morning. Could this be achilles related? I have not had don t remember any particular collision or impact of any kind. Also both heels really get pains when I stand on them for a while like I am on pics of glass...I am 58 and other than overweight (5 8 and 230) am in OK health...

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain pain in heel can occur due to causes like Planter Fasciitis, heel bursitis, Heel spurs, heel pad inflammation, Achilles Tendonitis,Tarsel Tunnel syndrome etc..
I would suggest you to consult a Podiatrist or an Orthopedician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like x ray, MRI Scan, blood test etc can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
You can be advised to take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, muscle relaxants, do cool compresses..
Orthotics and Night splints can also be advised..
Physiotherapy and stretching exercises under trained Physiotherapy can b done..
You should wear footwear with soft heel area..
void excess walking and physical activity..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
