Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Knee Cap Due To Meniscus Tears
Both knees hurt in the same place, which is two inches to the right or left of the kneecap. The right knee is worse than the left and difficult to bend because of stiffness. Walking aggravates, but long distance cycling helps. I have had X-rays and an MRI. The cartilage is in excellent condition and only a very small meniscus tear is shown. I have tried physical therapy exercises and it has not helped. Suggestions?

Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Knee Cap Due To Meniscus Tears
Hi, Based on the history you have shared, your knee joint is injured and that too meniscu’s tear. I would recommend you to get some over the counter painkillers like acetaminophen and ibuprofen for pain. Plus continue with physiotherapy. This might take some time if still pain then you can go for arthroscopy. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
