Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Labia Under The Skin

I am a female. I noticed a very painful area on the labia that felt like a very hard knot under the skin. For several days it continued to swell, and feel very hot.It is finally beginning to subside somewhat, but now the knot has sort of a slight head on it like a pimple but I have not noticed any discharge. What could this be??

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
It seems to be swelling of Bartholin glands in labia majora. Recurring swelling indicates some infection in Bartholin cyst.. which needs to be drained out automatically /incised &drained under antibiotic cover by a gynecologist.
Thanks
