Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Lower Left Side Of The Back
I have severe pain in the lower left side of back. I can rest my hand on hip bone with thumb on pain area in back. pain radiates through, like from the front to the back but most severe in the back. this has been going on a couple of days and pain is increasing. Is this a major concern or can I just tough it out.
There are 2 striking possibility in this issue as acute muscle spasm or renal, ureter calculus most likely. Along with the pain, details of urination discomfort, associated nausea, vomiting and other postural changes related to pain are very vital information missing here.
Kindly revert back with all details of symptoms in follow up conversation. Till the time, drink more liquids and take tablet ibuprofen or dicyclomine for primary pain relief to be consumed after meals. A need of X-ray or ultrasound would also be a part of management of the issue for precise diagnosis and care accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
